Coast To Coast Speaker Series Returns To Niagara Parks For Its 10th Anniversary

Get ready for thrilling stories that’ll keep you turning pages late into the night.

This four-part speaker series is back for its 10th anniversary, with four new tales of determination and survival at all costs.

Join us inside the chapel of the Laura Secord Homestead for this exceptional in-person series. Tickets are $15 per night or $50 for all four evenings.

All events begin at 7:00 p.m.

** Carrianne Leung |September 10th – Wonderland Road – An absorbing and heartfelt new novel about three people looking for a future when the world hangs by a thread, for readers of Moon on the Crusted Snow and The Future.

Carrianne Leung is a fiction writer and educator. Her book of linked stories, That Time I Loved You, won the Danuta Gleed Literary Award for best first collection, was a finalist for the Toronto Book Award, and has been optioned for television. Her novel, The Wondrous Woo, was a finalist for the Toronto Book Award.

** Emma White | October 8th – Venom Lake – For fans of Lucy Foley and Ashley Audrain, this is a smart, biting, set-in-Canada debut thriller about a toxic upscale true-crime book club.

Emma White is a research lawyer living in Toronto. Venom Lake is her debut novel.

** Sarah Mughal Rana | November 12th – Dawn of the Firebird – For fans of The Poppy War, She Who Became the Sun, and The Will of the Many, a breathtaking fantasy novel about the daughter of an overthrown emperor from an exciting new voice.

Sarah Mughal Rana is a Muslim author and student who completed her bachelors with honours at the University of Toronto and is now at Oxford University, studying economics and policy. She is a BookTok personality and the co-host of the On The Write Track podcast, where she enjoys spilling tea with her favourite authors about the book world.

** Kelly Anderson | December 10 – The Wild Beneath – For fans of Greenwood and Remarkably Bright Creatures, The Wild Beneath is a spellbinding story of soulmates, homecoming and the ancient bonds that tie us all to the natural world.

Dr. Kelly Anderson is a physician with fellowships in emergency medicine and HIV. After completing the Bookends Novel Fellowship, she trained at the Gateless Writing Academy and is a certified Gateless writing teacher. The Wild Beneath is her debut novel.

Light refreshments will be served (Niagara wines available for purchase by the glass) in the Welcome Centre at the Laura Secord Homestead before the event.
