Niagara Falls, Ontario  – Niagara Parks will be offering something for everyone this Thanksgiving weekend, including a two-day celebration of Canada’s national game as the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour launches their season in Queen Victoria Park on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8.

Vibrant Fall Colours Transform Niagara Parks
Celebrate the transition to fall in Niagara as you tour the Niagara River Recreation Trail along the Niagara River and enjoy breathtaking views complemented by the bold red, orange and gold hues and fall chrysanthemums that surround you. Plan a hike throughout the over four kilometres of trails that comprise the Niagara Glen, which will offer the perfect fall scene of changing leaves overlooking the incredible Niagara River and Whirlpool below. Rogers Hometown Hockey in Queen Victoria Park
Rogers Hometown Hockey will kick off its season in Niagara Parks with a two-day festival and live broadcast taking place at Queen Victoria Park, overlooking Niagara Falls. This family-friendly event is open to fans of all ages, free of charge and will feature appearances by local cancer survivor and minor hockey player, Alex Luey, Niagara Falls Flyer great and NHL legend, Derek Sanderson, and a performance by Niagara’s own country star, Tim Hicks. Join us for the outdoor viewing party of the Sportsnet broadcast on Sunday, October 8, when the Montreal Canadiens take on the New York Rangers. Hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone, the event will also be an opportunity for Niagara Parks and the region to showcase its rich hockey culture and vibrant heritage to the rest of Canada. Free parking and shuttle service to be provided at Rapidsview parking lot for the event.

Elements on the Falls
From Friday, October 7 to Monday, October 9, Niagara Parks’ Feast ON certified restaurant, Elements on the Falls, will be offering a delicious Thanksgiving menu for all to enjoy. Guests will be offered a choice of appetizer followed by an incredible Thanksgiving entrée, featuring roasted Ontario turkey with spy apple sage stuffing and pan gravy, Yukon mashed potatoes and a harvest medley of brussel sprouts, parsnips and carrots with a house-made cranberry sauce. Your delectable meal will conclude with a choice of either homemade pumpkin pie with delicate Chantilly cream or a Jordan cherry bread and butter pudding with local ice-wine brandy anglaise. Thanksgiving Brunch
On Sunday, October 8, Niagara Parks will be offering its incredible Thanksgiving brunch service at both its Queenston Heights (SOLD OUT) and Whirlpool Restaurants. Enjoy a delicious brunch infused with festive ingredients, as you take in the breathtaking autumn views overlooking Niagara’s wine country and Niagara Parks’ world-renowned Whirlpool Golf Course. Enhanced Walking Experience Along Promenade Within Queen Victoria Park

Thanksgiving Golf Promotions
Niagara Parks’ Legends on the Niagara Golf Complex and Whirlpool Golf Course will be offering a special Thanksgiving weekend promotion, beginning Saturday, October 7 through to Monday, October 9. On Saturday, golfers will be able to play a round of golf at Legends on the Niagara Golf Complex and Whirlpool Golf Course for $60, which includes cart and access to the driving range. On Sunday and Monday, a round of golf with cart and driving range access will be $55 at both golf courses.
