America’s Loss Of World-Leading Brains In the Medical Field Could Be Canada’s Gain

Long-time anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is Trump’s main man responsible for slashing vaccine and other medical research programs.
Thanks to their president, Donald Trump, and their screwball of a secretary of health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Americans are finally going to realize their dream of moving away from vaccines and other science-based treatments for infectious disease.
And why would they want to have anything to do with vaccination for protecting themselves against potentially deadly diseases when they can, as Trump once recommended, guzzle down bleach or, just to name a few of RFK Jr.’s remedies, inhale steroids and Vitamin A or simply drink raw milk?
So just 200 days into the sequel to Trump’s reality show in the White House, we have seen one assault after another on health care in the United States and on what were some of the leading medical research bodies in the world.
The most recent gut punch was a $500 million cut in funding to programs dedicated to developing disease-preventing vaccines – the type of which have previously proven their worth in saving countless millions of lives in the United States, in Canada and in numerous other countries where they have been deployed.
According to news reports in the U.S., this funding cut and others during the weeks and months that Trump, RFK Jr. and others in Trump’s administration have been on their anti-science rampage have left many of the most gifted medical personal to be found anywhere in the world without a job.
As much of a loss as this is to Americans, whether they know it or not and apparently many of them don’t care enough to put up a strong fight against it, it could be a great opportunity for Canadians to open our doors to these professionals and enlist their skill and knowledge in building our country as a world leader in medical treatment and research here.
Our government leaders should be openly encouraging them to set up shop in Canada as soon as possible.
The call-out to them to move here should be deafening!
Meanwhile, perhaps our Canadian government ought to think seriously about letting Americans who do not properly immunize themselves from infectious diseases cross the border.
