“And our grandchildren will know that we are the culprits and… that we were warned and they will know that it was this generation that came centre stage to speak and act on behalf of posterity and that we missed our cue and they will ask themselves what kind of people we were to be so selfish and so short sighted.” – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the global climate crisis
A Brief One from Doug Draper at Niagara At Large

I never dreamed of a day I would be singing praises for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
But in an address he delivered to the United Nations this September 22nd, he nailed it on the crisis our world faces today due to a climate crisis fueled by unsustainable human activities.
This Thursday, September 23rd, at a Niagara Regional Council meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m., a motion tabled by Niagara Regional Chair Jim Bradley at the Region’s planning and economic development committee a week ago, will be on deck for discussion and, hopefully, will receive final approval.
That motion calls for developing and launching a climate action plan in our Niagara region – a call to action that is long overdue.
