What else is he going to say. What is more important for his country, Canada and the rest of the world is what he is going to try to do now.
Wow! What a midterm election day and night this Tuesday November 3rd 2026 was in the United States of America.
When the day began, Trump still had an iron grip on Republican majorities in the U.S. Congress and Senate. By the time it was over, all that had melted down like the witch after Dorothy pour water over her in ‘The Wizard of Oz.’
The Congress is now controlled by an unprecedented majority of 228 Democrats to 139 Republicans and even the Senate turned away from the fascist leader wannabe with the Democrats no in control there with a reported 54 to 44 seats at the time of this posting.
This is not only good news for American democracy and for American people suffering financially under Trump’s rule, but for countries like Canada that have also suffered a great deal of damage from tariffs that should be approved by U.S. Congress and by threats Trump has made to our sovereignty.
Of course, any and all good that comes out of this depends on the Democrats’ will to act and to turn all the damage Trump has been doing around before it is too late for that country and its old friends and allies like Canada.
There will be much more to say about all of this later.
In the meantime, thanks to the tens-of-millions of American voters who finally decided it was time to put the toddler in the White House in a crib where he can hopefully do less harm.
And thanks to all of us in Canada who have been keeping the pressure on by boycotting trips across the border and products made in the U.S.A. as we make more of an effort to support our communities and locally owned and operated businesses here.
