One of America’s most popular progressive politicians – Vermont’s independent and social democrat Senator Bernie Sanders and two-time U.S. Presidential candidate issued a statement on Twitter this September 17th, endorsing Canada’s Federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and his party in this coming Monday, September 20th federal election.

Here is Senator Sander’s statement –

“Canada goes to the polls Monday. There’s one party that stood up for working people in the pandemic. One leader who has the courage to make the wealthy pay their fair share so everyone gets the medication they need. That’s why I support the NDP and Jagmeet Singh.” – Bernie Sanders

  1. I like Singh as well. Unfortunately many people have their minds set in stone and are afraid to think outside the traditional Lib/PC box. Heaven knows both of them have taken turns screwing things up for decades.
Time for a woman too! The highest countries on the “happiness index” which takes into account the economy, safety, jobs, quality of life, wage equality, handling of the pandemic, etc., like Iceland, Denmark, New Zealand, are all led by women. What a coincidence.
