Visitors to the Floral Showhouse are sure to be captivated by the outdoor art installation featuring repurposed vintage pieces from the Durham Region’s former and beloved Cullen Miniature Village collection, first acquired by Niagara Parks in 2011.

The current display features both lifelike representations of landmarks found in Ontario, as well as abstract and imaginative reinterpretations of architectural heritage detail found in this province. Highlights of the installation include a stunning replication of Parkwood Estate in Oshawa, a series of Muskoka Cottages nestled on the banks of a serene pond and a recently added vintage train, which travels throughout sections of the exhibit.

Commenting on the new exhibit, Niagara Parks Chair Janice Thomson stated, “The miniatures are truly a perfect complement to our popular Showhouse and have become a permanent feature, not only of this facility and these pristine grounds, but also as part of our Ontario150 celebrations”. The Life on Display exhibit was developed in collaboration with the Ontario150 funding program administered by the government of Ontario.
