Three More Weeks Before We, The People, To STOP Harper And Take Our Canada Back!

A Brief One  from Niagara At Large publisher Doug Draper

On this last passing Sunday of September, I found the following message from Canada’s NDP Leader Tom Mulcair in my inbox.

Canada's NDP Leader Tom Mulcair (right) says there's no way he'd go for any post-election propping up of Stephen Harper

Canada’s NDP Leader Tom Mulcair (right) says there’s no way he’d go for any post-election propping up of Stephen Harper

“There are no circumstances in which I would support Stephen Harper remaining prime minister,” declared Mulcair in September 27th note. “For ten years, he’s had the privilege of leading this great country, and he’s failed Canadian families every step of the way.”

“It’s time for change, and ours is the team that can get the job done.”

Whether you agree with Mulcair or not that his is the best team to move our country forward, one thing is for certain. For the sake of our country’s future – both our near future and the decades to come for younger generations of Canadaisn – we have one critical chance this coming October 19th to get rid of Harper and his mindless band of puppets.

That means voting for the candidate in your riding that has the best job of beating the Harper Conservative. Let’s do it – young, old and everyone in between – in droves!

  1. We are presently worse off now in Canada than we were when the Harper Government took control. Clearly, two-thirds of Canadians don’e want his government in power for yet another term.
Yet, if we are not diligent, don’t get out and vote, or vote incorrectly, Harper will run Canada for another four years.
So, is Mr. Trudeau a good alternative? The Liberals just released their fiscal plan for Canada: more spending, more deficits, and greater Canadian debt. Yet, we are already in debt to the tune of over $17,164.65 per person! Imagine waking up with a debt collector at your door asking you to cough up your share of the nation’s debt! And, Trudeau would have it go higher. Ah, youthful reasoning: If we don’t have enough money, borrow more until the credit card maxes out. Isn’t that what Greece did?
But where was Mr. Trudeau when the “old boys” of the Liberal party spoke on their behalf. Any responsible leader would have been front and centre with such an important announcement and press conference. Maybe the “old boys” of the Chretien days do get it. “Justin is just not ready!” so keep him at home “resting” and away from the press on this one.
So, that leaves Mulcair. I have at one time or another worked for the person whom I thought was the best candidate in my riding. I have worked for the three major parties at one time or another. I don’t trust the Harper Government. Trudeau appears to be too well managed by the “old boys” and so not ready to lead a country like Canada. That leaves the NDP. I’ll put my vote there this year. Anything is better than the alternative, but at least Mulcair will keep the books in order! If he doesn’t, he won’t last either. But, at least the NDP has earned a shot.

  2. Justin, has a rapport with Elizabeth May leader of the “Green Party” and they see eye to eye on many issues, he did flub the Bill C-51 issue , a huge mistake on his part, after the gravity of that issue, was a loss of our civil rights he said that changes to that bill would be made if elected, at the present time all 3 major parties are in a virtual tie, Justin, is now getting into the arena that I am very concerned about, the purchase of F-35 jets that are extremely high priced , are too slow, and lack long distance fuel tanks are not stealth as promised , they only have a single engine not good in a country as vast as ours, there are better and cheaper planes out there, also the Canadian navy needs ships ASAP , we are renting ships from a south American country, how crazy is that !! our ships are so old they have to be towed back to port by the US navy, Harper could have bought two brand new ships made for Russia by the French, Arctic ready and came with helicopter pads on them , Harper allowed the Saudi Arabians pick these must have ships. I really want to see Harper go, this election , October 19th I am leaning to support Justin Trudeau , nice hair and all.!!!
