Buffalo, NY- March 29, 2014 – Earlier this year, The Buffalo History Museum announced its 2nd Annual M&T Third Fridays GIANTS OF BUFFALO program that honors history making individuals who have made extraordinary contributions in their industry. The program is in association with the Buffalo Broadcasters Association (BBA).
Friday, April 18th GIANTS OF BUFFALO: Journalism – The Buffalo News writers and co-authors of the NY Times best seller, “American Terrorist,” Lou Michel and Dan J. Herbeck to be honored.
Time: 6:00 p.m. Cocktail reception with live music; 7:00 Seating for program
Location: The Buffalo History Museum, One Museum Court (at Elmwood Ave. and Nottingham Terr.)
Cost for Program: $10. Members of the Museum & Buffalo Broadcasters Association / $20. General/

The ‘Giants’ will share their stories on stage in an informal 90 minute talk-show format. The series will be co-moderated by political reporter of The Buffalo News, Robert J. McCarthy and Executive Director of Production and Promotion WBBZ-TV, John DiScuillo. The audience is invited to participate in the discussion during the later portion of the evening. The program will be filmed for television by WBBZ-TV as a special feature; broadcast time and dates to be announced at a later date.
The concept of the program is to engage the audience and the guest speakers in an informal talk – show format about their personal and history-making stories as experienced by career choices, industry practices of the day, impact on our region, and inevitable changes.
Individuals honored at the Giants of Buffalo program are selected by a committee comprised of 6 to7 members: The Buffalo History Museum board members and staff, and collaborating partners.
This discussion is in association with theBuffalo Broadcasters Association and offers an adult soirée around the program.Wine, soft drinks, and light snacks will be made available.
