I confess that I am among one of those Niagara, Ontario residents that has, over the years, enjoyed going over to Buffalo too.
But that was before Trump came back was voted back into office almost two years ago and resumed his practice of insulting and threatening our Canada in every way he could.
Since then, I have rediscovered what I knew already – what a wonderful country this Canada is and how much there is to see and do here.

I know that many other of my fellow Canadians feel the same way and have told me when we meeting in restaurants, on walking trails or check-out lines at grocery stores that there is “NO WAY” they are going over the border until Trump and his masked ICE goons with their demonstrated practice of shooting before they ask any questions are gone.
I am sure that the vast majority of people in the good city of Buffalo, New York like us but they have little or no say over what Trump and his thugs are doing to insult and assault our country and its and economy and its sovereignty and democratic values.
So for those of you who may be thinking about crossing the border to Trump’s Amerika this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, please consider staying home and enjoying all of the things we have to see and do here, including those listed in a post just below this one from the City of St. Catharines.
Let’s do what we all can to stand up for our communities and our businesses and for products grown and manufactured here in this precious Canada that past generations fought and died for.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving in Canada, Doug Draper
