In Wake of Recent Floods, Lincoln Is Waiving Landfill Tipping Fees Until August 29th; Waste Bins Available Until August 30th

Lincoln, ON  – The Town of Lincoln is updating community members about expanded waste services that are providing additional time to manage waste related to the recent flooding and ongoing recovery efforts.

Waived Landfill Tipping Fees

The waiving of landfill tipping fees for eligible flood-related waste has been extended through Saturday, August 29, 2026*.

 The limit to the number of truckloads or trailers visits per household have also been lifted.

Waste Bins

The waste bins at the following locations will be available to Lincoln residents until the evening of *Sunday, August 30, 2026*.

  •    * 1st Beamsville Scouting Hut at Bomberry Park — 4331 Spruce St, Beamsville
  •   * Kinsmen Park — 3820 Frost Rd, Beamsville
  •   * Jordan Parking Lot — 3763 Nineteenth St, Jordan Station, (beside Fire Station #4)

Please note: These bins are for flood-related items only and cannot accept tires  or hazardous materials, including paints, solvents, and similar products.

Please place all waste inside the bins. Do not leave or dump items beside the bins or fencing. Thank you for helping us keep these areas safe, clean, and accessible as our community continues its flood recovery efforts.

Residents who are unable to transport their flood waste to the landfill or designated waste bins in Lincoln can email /*/resources@lincoln.ca/*<mailto:resources@lincoln.ca>*//*/to arrange a pickup until August 30./

Enhanced Waste Collection

Enhanced curbside waste collection services will end *Friday, August 21, 2026*.

We understand that residents have had to go to extraordinary lengths to clean up after the floods. If you experienced flood damage due to the July 21 or August 2 weather events and paid privately for tipping fees and/or garbage bins, please save your receipts. The Town is working on a process to reimburse residents for these additional expenses.

These extensions are intended to provide additional flexibility and support as cleanup and recovery efforts continue.

The Town of Lincoln thanks Niagara Region for its partnership and support as our community continues its recovery efforts.
