An Air Quality Update – The City Of St. Catharines Is Closing Outdoor Pools And Sports Fields And Cancelling Outdoor Events For Thursday, July 16.

Due to the Air Quality Warning issued by Environment Canada, the City is closing its outdoor pools and sports fields and cancelling its outdoor activities and events, including:

  • City outdoor swimming lessons and aquatic programs
  • The Lakeside Park Carousel
  • City outdoor recreation programs
  • Permits for outdoor spaces

The City welcomes anyone looking to beat the heat to the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre and other select City facilities. City splash pads will remain open until 9 p.m. The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre is open until 8 p.m. tonight.
