Hearts Go Out to Our Neighbours in Buffalo & Erie County, New York

A Brief Message from Doug Draper at Niagara At Large

Posted December 26th, 2022

As of this posting, we at Niagara At Large heard a report of Buffalo’s Channel 4 News that even all of the Wegmans grocery stores in the Buffalo area are closed due to this violent snow store – and they are usually never closed.

That is one more confirmation of how bad things are for our neighbours and friends in the Buffalo/Erie County, New York area.

The Peace Bridge also reportedly remains closed which is also unheard of, except in the wake of some of the worst disasters.

Last we heard, at least 17 people in the Buffalo area have died due to this storm – more than were gunned down in that TOP’s grocery store in the city last spring.

Niagara At Large wishes all of our neighbours and friends in the Buffalo area the best as you suffer through this weather bomb.

All the more reason why it would be great if the Buffalo Bills made it to the Super Bowl in the New Year!

And that oh-so-fabuloug Garden Walk Buffalo- 2023 could not come too soon.

  1. So close and yet so far. How dreadful for Buffalo, even for those of us who remember the Blizzard of ’77.
