ST. CATHARINES, Niagara — New Democrats in St. Catharines have selected incumbent MPP Jennie Stevens to be their Ontario NDP candidate in the 2022 provincial election.
Stevens currently serves as the NDP’s critic for Veterans, Legions and Military Affairs.

Biography
* Stevens served Merritton Ward as City Councillor for 15 years, after which she became the first woman elected to represent St. Catharines as MPP.
* Stevens has introduced legislation to prevent intimate partner violence as well as to provide better access to long-term care beds for Veterans.
* Stevens has been advocating on behalf of St. Catharines families for more long-term care beds, better protections for renters, more affordable child care, and much more.
* Stevens is a life-long St. Catharines resident, where she lives with her husband. She has two children and four wonderful grandchildren.
