Niagara Residents Invited To Join in a Global Strike for Climate Action

A Call-Out to All of Us from Extinction Rebellion Niagara

As you may be aware, people around the globe are planning a Global Climate Strike on Friday, September 24th. To show our global solidarity and get back in the streets, we will be marching downtown St. Catharines on the (this coming Friday, September) 24th!

Here are the details of the day:

2:30 Meet @ the front of Silver Spire United Church, St. Catharines (366 St Paul St., St. Catharines) – Parking Available in the back of the church
2:40 Rally – Land Acknowledgement, speeches, poems, music, chants, etc.
3:45 Start Marching (see the maps for the exact route)
4:15 Die-in @ the City Hall (exact address)
5:00 End of Event

Please be noted that this event will be recorded. Photos and videos taken at the event may be posted on our social media. Please get consent before you take/post photos/videos of others, and as a general rule, don’t include people’s faces in your pictures.

Parking available at the back of the Church is accessed from Bond Street or Head Street. We encourage everyone to carpool, if you are driving 

COVID-19 Guidelines:
– Please wear a mask even if you have been vaccinated.
– Please make sure to keep a 2m distance from others at all times
– If you or anyone you live with have any COVID-19 symptoms prior to the march or day-of, please refrain from joining in-person. Instead, share the events with others and show your support online
– Follow all COVID-19 Protocols as Outlined by Public Health Authorities
