All We Can Do Now is Hope for the Best

The Peace Bridge crossing between Fort Erie, Ontario and Buffalo, New York is busy with Americans crossing for the first time in a year and a half
For the first time in a year and a half, border bridges between the Canada and United States are open to fully vaccinated Americans.
Despite rising daily case counts of COVID-19 in both countries – thanks in large part to a highly infectious Delta variant of the virus and far too many people who resist getting vaccinated – Canada’s Liberal government has followed through on its announced plans a few weeks back to open the border to fully vaccinated Americans.
Those Americans crossing the Peace Bridge, Rainbow Bridge and other points of entry must also get a COVID-19 test, showing that they are not infected, before they arrive.
It seems like a fairly safe plan, under the circumstances, and only time will tell if this was a good or bad decision at this time.
All we can do now, I guess, is hope for the best.
As for fully-vaccinated Canadians crossing over to the United States, that is still a no-no.
