I am so excited to be sharing this news with you!

Every municipality across our country is working on recovery plans to aid us as we get through the pandemic. Child care has long been an issue for families, so I hope you will join us on Tuesday for @a Better Niagara’s first Facebook LIVE.

FACEBOOK LIVE On Tuesday, December 8 at 7 PM A Better Niagara will be hosting a virtual Townhall discussing the importance of child care.

The event will be hosted by Haley Bateman, Director at A Better Niagara who will be joined by panelists Mishka Balsom CEO of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce, Carolyn Ferns, Policy and Government Relations Coordinator at the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care and Jennifer Gauthier, Executive Director of the Women’s Place of South Niagara.

We will explore the current state of child care, what it means for businesses if our government does or does not invest in child care and the impact that lack of safe and affordable child care has on families, specifically women living in poverty.
