A Call-Out for Your Ideas from Niagara’s Regional government
Posted July 30th, 2019 on Niagara At Large
Niagara, Ontario – Niagara Region is conducting a public opinion survey on Niagara Region Transit and is looking to hear from you! Whether you use Niagara Region Transit every day, once in a while or not at all, your opinion is important to us.
By participating in this survey, you’ll have a hand in moving transit forward.
Niagara Region will be conducting the survey between July 29 and August 16.
Survey responses will be collected through the Niagara Region website at niagararegion.ca/transit and in person by staff at various locations across the community.
The survey will ask for your opinion regarding Niagara Region Transit in a number of areas, including:
- * Service levels (i.e. frequency and routes)
- * Satisfaction with the service
- * What features you would like the service to include
- * Why you do or do not ride Niagara Region Transit
The purpose of the survey is to gather feedback from the community to aid in a review of the Niagara Region Transit service, identify opportunities to expand or add additional services and develop communications and marketing strategies.
Niagara Region Transit is operated by Niagara Region in partnership with transit operators in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland.
It currently provides service to the communities of Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Thorold and Welland. Riders can travel between these communities on Niagara Region Transit for work, school, shopping, recreation and more.

A Brief Footnote from Doug Draper, reporter and publisher at Niagara At Large –
The dream of a fully-integrated, region-wide bus transit service in Niagara that is convenient and affordable has been a long time coming, and has yet to be fully realized.
Please get engaged in this survey process. Raise your voice and help make it happen.
For the sake of health communities and a healthy environment for our future, don’t be apathetic about this one, my fellow Niagara citizens.
