Niagara Falls, ON – From the beauty of Niagara Parks’ natural and cultural heritage experiences, to the annual outdoor Canada Day celebration in Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Parks offers a full lineup of events for the whole family throughout the holiday weekend.
Annual Outdoor Celebration at Queen Victoria Park
Niagara Parks’ beloved outdoor Canada Day celebration returns to Queen Victoria Park on Monday, July 1, featuring free live music, family-friendly activities, performers and an outdoor licensed barbeque area on the front lawn of Queen Victoria Place.
The celebrations continue into the evening with a performance by Hannah Georgas, as part of the Niagara Stage music series, at Queen Victoria Place at 8 p.m., followed by an extended Canada Day fireworks show over Niagara Falls at 10 p.m. (weather-permitting).

Tastes of Canada: Gourmet BBQ
From 4 to 10 p.m., Queen Victoria Park will be the place to be to enjoy a gourmet Canada Day inspired BBQ menu with options such as a Forty Creek barbecued pulled pork sandwich and Bright’s white cheddar crusted northern rainbow trout sandwich. The outdoor BBQ area will also include a refreshing assortment of ice cream desserts and a licensed area serving Niagara craft beer, cider, and VQA wine.
Long Weekend Events
Spend the holiday weekend in Niagara Parks and take part in events happening across the Niagara River corridor, from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, all weekend long.
Live music at the Queen Victoria Place Stage
Niagara Parks is proud of its role in showcasing Canadian musical talent, and this Canada Day long weekend will be no different, offering free concerts each night, featuring Tanya Tagaq, RUMBLE THE CONCERT and Hannah Georgas, as well as the Brad James Band and Conor Gains.

Guests will experience an incredible fireworks display over Niagara Falls each night at 10 p.m. (weather-permitting) as part of the annual Falls Fireworks Series, with support from the Tourism Partnership of Niagara.
Gastronomy Nights at Queenston Heights Restaurant
As part of the many culinary offerings found throughout the Park, Queenston Heights Restaurant will be hosting a Feast On certified Gastronomy Night on June 29. This sold-out culinary event features a five-course wine-paired meal that celebrates the incredible food, drink and culture of the Niagara region and province of Ontario.

Enjoy the Falls Fireworks Series and nightly Falls illumination like never before with the return of Night Lights: Journey Behind the Falls After Dark. Guests will enjoy exclusive nighttime access to Niagara Parks’ Canadian Signature Experience, Journey Behind the Falls, for the ultimate view of the Falls illumination and fireworks displays.
Hiking at the Niagara Glen
A comprehensive trail classification system makes it even easier for hikers of all skill levels to experience the renowned trails that wind through the pristine pockets of Carolinian forest that overlooks the Niagara River and whirlpool rapids. Daily guided hiking tours of the Niagara Glen begin on July 1 and run through August.
GO Niagara Seasonal Train Service
The GO Niagara Seasonal Train service is available on weekends and holidays throughout the summer months, offering dedicated bicycle cars that encourage travelers to explore Niagara Parks by bike. One round-trip ticket on the GO Niagara Seasonal Train includes service to and from Niagara, access to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Shuttle and two-day access to WEGO, the hop-on hop-off bus service in Niagara Falls.
