Earth Day Celebration at Market Square
Meet the City of St. Catharines to learn about water quality, take the tap-water taste test, discuss reducing single-use plastics and enjoy other environmental activities at the Links for Greener Learning’s annual Earth Day Celebration at Market Square on Friday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Help make St. Catharines a more beautiful place by taking part in the Pitch-In Day Clean City Clean Up Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to noon.
This year’s designated sites include: QEW off ramp at Lake Street (meet at the Best Western Plus parking lot at 2 North Service Rd., no children under 12 years old); QEW off ramp at Ontario Street (meet at the Henley Square plaza parking lot at 395 Ontario St.; no children under 12 years old); former Fairview Golf Course (meet at Pet Smart parking lot at 40 YMCA Dr.); Roehampton Park/CNR Spur Line (meet in the parking lot at 55 Roehampton Ave.); and Rotary Park (meet in the parking lot at 395 Pelham Rd.).
You can also help clean your own neighbourhood or favourite park. Gloves and garbage bags are available. Get a group together and let us know where you’ll be cleaning up so we can arrange to pick up the trash.
