56 Kilometres of Breathtaking Autumn Landscape

The Niagara region is famous for its stunning fall scenes, from rolling hills lined with vineyards to roadside fruit stands offering baskets of locally grown produce, and Niagara Parks is no exception. Run/walk/cycle along the Niagara River Recreation Trail that runs along the river from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake, passing by heritage markers, famous landmarks and of course, the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

Map out a hike at the Niagara Glen with the help of Niagara Parks’ new trail classification system and discover why this hidden gem has been a long-time favourite among hikers, boulderers and nature enthusiasts. Don’t forget to stop in at the Niagara Glen Nature Centre, the newly renovated interpretive centre overlooking the Niagara River whirlpool for hiking tips, maps and to learn more about the fascinating geology of this designated nature reserve.

Annual Reiger Begonia Display at the Floral Showhouse

Niagara Parks’ talented team of horticulturalists at the Floral Showhouse have created a stunning design for this year’s annual Reiger Begonia display. Playing on the theme of Rooted and celebrating the local harvest, the display incorporates lush greenery and vegetation with delicate blooms in a wonderful mix of fall colours. The Floral Showhouse is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thanksgiving Menus at Niagara Parks Restaurants

Elements on the Falls

From Saturday, October 6 to Monday, October 8, Niagara Parks’ Feast ON certified restaurant, Elements on the Falls, will be offering a prix fixe Thanksgiving menu. Guests have their choice of appetizer followed by an incredible Thanksgiving entrée, featuring roasted Ontario turkey with spy apple sage stuffing and gravy, Yukon mashed potatoes and a harvest medley of brussel sprouts, parsnips and carrots with a homemade cranberry sauce. Your delectable meal will conclude with a choice of either homemade pumpkin pie with delicate Chantilly cream or a Jordan cherry bread and butter pudding with local ice wine brandy anglaise. Thanksgiving Brunch

On Sunday, October 8, Niagara Parks will be offering its incredible Thanksgiving brunch service at both its Queenston Heights and Whirlpool Restaurants. Enjoy a delicious brunch infused with local ingredients, as you take in the breathtaking autumn views overlooking Niagara’s wine country and Niagara Parks’ world-renowned Whirlpool Golf Course. Thanksgiving Golf Promotions

Niagara Parks’ Legends on the Niagara Golf Complex and Whirlpool Golf Course will be offering a special Thanksgiving weekend promotion, beginning Saturday, October 6 through to Monday, October 8. On Saturday, golfers will be able to play a round of golf at Legends on the Niagara Golf Complex and Whirlpool Golf Course for $55, which includes access to a power cart. A round of golf with cart will be $50 on Sunday, October 7, and $45 on Monday, October 8, at both golf courses. Please note that access to the driving range is also included at Legends on the Niagara. As well, both golf retail stores will be offering 40% off on all clothing and 20% off all golf clubs and shoes throughout the weekend.
