Do Millions Of Americans Really Want Trump To Be Their Next President?

Please Don’t Inflict This Racist, Sexist, Lying Hate-Monger On The Rest Of The World

A Brief One from Doug Draper, publisher, Niagara At Large

Posted October 8th, 2016

The front page of the Saturday, October 8th, 2016 edition of a highly-read New York City tabloid – the New York Daily News – focuses on yet another reprehensible episode starring billionaire celebrity, now Republican Party standard barer Donald Trump – one that should, at long last, drive every thoughtful, decent-minded American citizen (including any that may be left in the old Republic Party of Abe Lincoln) to stand up to the prospect of a Trump presidency with three simple words – “NO DAMN WAY!”

Here is that front page –

daily-news

For those of you who missed it – and it is hard to believe that anyone who has been near a newspaper or radio or TV news program in the last18 hours has missed it- that front page is a reaction to a newly leaked audio tape made in 2005 of then Reality TV star Donald Trump telling some guy from the Access Hollywood program how, he likes to grope women and “grab them by the pussy,” and that how as the “star” he says he is, he can do that because because, after all, he is a “star” and “they will let you do it. … You can do anything.”

“Anything,” we can only hope, does not include Trump becoming the next president of a country that (despite his ridiculous claim that Barack Obama has made a mess of it) is still economically and militarily powerful enough to have a profound impact on the lives of people in every country around the world from Canada and Mexico to countries in Europe, Africa, and the Middle and Far East.

Donald Trump had Miss Universe Alicia Machado working out in front of the press. When she gained some weight, he called her "an eating maching" and "Miss Piggy."

Donald Trump had Miss Universe Alicia Machado working out in front of the press. When she gained some weight, he called her “an eating maching” and “Miss Piggy.”

Four days before the tape featuring Trump’s pussy rubbing fantasies leaked out, The Atlantic – a time-honoured American magazine – issued a presidential endorsement for only the third time in its 159 year history (the first was for Abraham Lincoln in 1859 and the second was for Lyndon Johnson in 1964) for Hillary Clinton, with the following bang-on summary remarks about Trump –

Trump’s affect is that of an infomercial huckster; he traffics in conspiracy theories and racist invective, he is appallingly sexist, he is erratic, secretive and xenophobic; he expresses admiration for authoritarian rulers, and evinces authoritarian tendencies himself. …

“He is easily goaded, a poor quality for someone seeking control of America’s nuclear arsenal. He is an enemy of fact-based discourse; he is ignorant of, and indifferent to, the Constitution; he appears not to read,” concludes Atlantic’s editorial board. “He is a demagogue, a xenophobe, a sexist, a know-nothing, and a liar.”

That pretty well sums this orange hair, Nazi-like creature up.

Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was recently denounced by talking heads at Fox News and other Trump loyalists for calling half of those attending Trump rallies – mass mob gatherings where  angry white people feel unhinged enough to yell like “dirty beaners,” “niggers” and other ugly invectives at people of Mexican descent, African Americans and others – a “basket of deplorables.”

As ever more of Trump’s bile spews forth – this ugly tape about women and a doubling down on his two-and-a-half-decade old charges that four young black men and one latino (known as the Central Park 5 and eventually exonerated in the brutal murder of a female jogger) are guilty and should be executed being only two of the more recent emissions – anyone who continues to stand with him now deserves to see Clinton’s “deplorables” label stick.

For the sake of yourselves, your country and a world terrified of what a Trump presidency would mean for addressing climate change, wars, famine and poverty and so many of the other enormous problems current and future generations of people on this planet face, get out of the basket now!

  1. I just don’t get it. How can anyone support this man? He just married his THIRD wife weeks before making these rude, disgusting remarks and attempting seduction of a married woman. He said it was “locker room” chat.
That is not the point. It just shows his true character even if it was said in a gas station bathroom.
His first wife also reported that he raped her after their divorce to show her he could do whatever he wanted and also claims he can just go up to any woman and kiss her. That is sexual assault and a crime. He criticizes Bill Clinton, who was publicly disgraced for the same behaviour he exhibits, and Hillary for staying with him.
Meanwhile, Bill isn’t running for election, Hillary is. He even accuses her of infidelity (which I doubt) without any proof.
The Clintons aren’t angels but if people vote for Johnson (an idiot) or Jill Stein (who is worthy), unfortunately, this A-hole could very well win. He is unstable, delusional and, as Hillary said in the first debate, “lives in his own reality”.

As for being a “star”, when he made these comments he was doing a guest shot on a soap opera “Days of our lives” and burger commercials. Maybe Fabio (the dopey “I can’t believe it’s not butter” guy) should run for President. Talk about delusional !!!!

This is a creep who lies with impunity and then even dares to lie about lying, mocks the disabled and so many others, thinks only stupid people pay taxes and comes up with astonishingly unbelievable crap on a daily basis. All one can infer is that his followers ARE a “basket of deplorables”. If this latest gaffe doesn’t write him off to the Evangelicals nothing will. I’ve come to the conclusion that his followers are the same as him, delusional, insecure and STUPID. After all, he said he “loves the uneducated”.

Bill Maher has summed him up pretty well as the orange offspring as an orangutan. That is an insult to orangutans. In spite of his ramblings being worthy fodder for Comedy Central and late night hosts, he scares me.

  2. This will be an Election Day like none other in history. Already there are precedent-trending events even in the prolonged prelude which have not been seen in over 100 years of U.S. election history.
It will be a vote of average versus elite and anti-establishment versus the entrenched and media-supported establishment. The outcome will be determined by whichever side shows up in larger numbers.
Call him “a creep” or whatever you wish, but these are NOT the issues on which a leader’s qualifications are measured. With Donald Trump, people know what they’re getting, albeit with many words and deeds amplified for public consumption from the depths of private conversations or macho “shock jock” dramatizations.
The Clinton dynasty has a longer rap-sheet of corruption (though mostly ‘non-indictable’, owing to teflon resilience) than any other administration during my brief time on earth, and I feel that their day should be over. This IS just another reality show, and a lot of people will not be happy with the outcome, no matter which way it goes.
To balance the view though, the following should be required reading for all, and especially for the self-inflicted Donald himself, as well as the hypocritical legions who wear the lenses of deplorability…http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/10/08/mr-trump-its-time-for-some-debate-judo-heres-how-to-bring-it-to-st-louis.html

    • I have balanced the view and have also read “Nobody left to lie to” by Christopher Hitchens about the Clintons. Try it, you’ll like it. They are VERY crooked and distasteful and Bill is a piece of work, but I feel with some education in psychology, that Trump is unstable and his fuse too short to be the leader of anything. I could name diagnoses but shall not without absolute first hand knowledge.

A nuclear war scares anyone who has an ounce of sanity and he is obsessed with nukes, has stated he will use them and that more nations should have them (Japan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia – sources, his own mouth on several videos, Politifact, Washington Post, LA Times, to name a few). He asked about their usage six times during his interview with the chiefs of staff. Just sayin’.

As for FOX (faux) news, they are purveyors of so many falsehoods that they make the mainstream media (which is no flaming hell) look like the Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, which it certainly is not. Both candidates are pretty disgusting.

  3. Just because you might not like the Clintons is not a reason to vote for a neoliberal on steroids who thinks he can do whatever he wants to whomever he wants … and who has actively encouraged violence at his rallies and attacked people by race, gender, disability, etc. I know if I were American, I would not feel that I would have a place in Trump’s America.
