Up Close And Personal With Trump’s Supporters

“F*** Political Correctness”, “F*** Those Dirty Beaners” (Latinos), “F*** Islam”, “F*** That Nigger” (Obama), “F*** Hillary”, “Hang The Bitch”

A Commentary by Doug Draper

“F*** political correctness?” At a ‘Trump for President’ campaign rally? That hardly needs to be said.

Donald Trump has been raging against political correctness going back to a year ago this past June when he rode down the escalator in Trump Tower and announced his plans to run for the U.S. presidency and build that wall.

So put on that “Hillary Sucks, But Not Like Monica’ t-shirt you can buy from the vendors outside the arenas where the Donald holds his rallies, and feel free to go inside and feel free to go inside and call President Obama a “nigger” and Hillary Clinton a “bitch” and “whore” all you want while the rest of the crowd chants “lock her up” and “hang her.”

New York Times reporters, with the approval of their editors and publishers at the paper, have just released a video of conduct they have witness repeated over and over again at Trump rallies across the United States, and I believe it was a very brave move to release what everyone who think’s Trump’s ugly, hateful brand of politics is the way to go should be made to watch it at home with their children, if they have any.

I was debating whether or not I should post this New York Times video because the language in it is sometimes very raw. A warning now that those of you who still have an ounce of respect for civil discourse and conduct may find much of what is shown in this video offensive.

I am also posting it for those I have talked to and those who have sent email or comments to me from time to time, saying that “liberals” like me are being unfair to Trump and either don’t see or refuse to see that he truly loves his country, cares for its people and wants to apply his resources and skills as a billionaire businessman to making it great again.

If these folks believe that anything they witness in this video or almost any day of the week on the cable news channels, including the most sympathetic Fox network, will pave a path to anything remotely resembling greatness, then any further discussion on this matter is a waste of time.

Go wave your white supremacist banners and flags, and where your ‘Trump that Bitch’ t-shirts somewhere else.

The New York Times reporters who made this video were clear to point out that not everyone who attends the Trump rallies behave in an ugly manner, and many are “polite and well-mannered.”

“But what struck us,” they said, “was the frequency with which some Trump supporters use coarse, vitriolic, even violent language — in the epithets they shout and chant, the signs they carry, the T-shirts they wear — a pattern not seen in connection with any other recent political candidate, in any party.”

Near the beginning of this video, Trump can be heard telling the crowd: “The safest place in the world to be is at a Trump rally.”

That may not be the case for any of the hecklers Trump’s supporters grab and drag out of the place, with the Donald egging them on with his usual; ‘Get ‘em outta here! Ge-e-e-t ‘em the hell out!’ and assurances that he’ll pay the legal bills if the hecklers decide to sue anyone for roughing them up.up yours hillary

These people are so jacked up, I don’t think it is a stretch to conclude that if Trump told them; “There’s a tree outside. Take him out and string him up,” they’d do it.

Trump is up there on that podium, pouring a can of kerosene on a fire.

This is how you make like Moses and lead the march to making America great again?

Les Moonves, the CEO of the CBS network told a conference of investors last winter that what Trump is doing “may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,” meaning that his rallies where, as he went on to say, “they’re not discussing issues, they’re throwing bombs at each other,” is good for network ratings.

My challenge to Mr. Give-Me-More-Ratings at CBS and to all the other networks that have already given this nut bar and his followers more than a billion dollars in free publicity over the past year is play this uncensored New York Times video.

Never mind softening it up for some of the prime time viewers out there who might pretend they are offended. Stop behaving like pansies and run the whole damn thin, F-bombs and all, so the kids can get a good look at what their parents and are doing and what participating in the political process looks like in “Trump land.”

Like another thing the Donald can be heard saying to his supporters in the video; “We’re doing well right? … This is a movement like you have never seen before.”

No need to fact check that observation.

  1. American democracy at its best.

  2. That’s how Naziism started. Notice that Trump’s jet with his name emblazoned on the side is standing there waiting to fly him back to his gold plated penthouse. And they like him because he’s one of them.

  3. American facetiousness at its best, but translating into America’s worst display of vulgarity and intolerance. I wouldn’t go so far as to compare it with Nazism or alluding to any type of genocidal tendencies, but I do have to admit it is very distasteful and unfortunate that the emphasis is always on the outrageous, and albeit inflamed overreactions in the fertile field of intolerance. True enough, NOT for the kids, or anyone of decent moral fiber, for that matter.
