An Invitation To Everyone With An Interest In The Welfare Of Niagara’s Natural Heritage
From Gary King, Niagara Land Trust

Not so long ago, Welland Riding MPP Cindy Forster managed to fill a room full of concerned citizens at the Fuzzy Logic to discuss biodiversity and wetlands. With all the continued discussion around wetlands, please take a moment to look at the following upcoming event, sponsored by the Niagara Land Trust Foundation.
It is planned as an evening of information and interaction, plus a chance to let off some steam along with the locally renown group, the Deacons of Jazz!
The Niagara Land Trust is hosting a special event – A Night of Wetlands & Jazz Bands – that combines awareness of wetlands & their impacts from biodiversity off-setting and an evening of socializing & meeting new conservation friends.
The event is June 11th at the Riverstone Event Centre on 414 River Road in Welland, Ontario and starts at 7 pm with a social and music by the Holy Cross Catholic High School jazz band.
Steven Housell, Chair of Ontario’s Biodiversity Council and past President of Ontario Nature will explain biodiversity off-setting and how it is supposed to be used in land-use planning. Guests will then be treated to a snack buffet followed by the jazz-funk-pop band – the Deacons of Jazz.
You will also be able to enjoy a silent auction featuring Niagara artists, wines & woodcrafts.
Tickets are only $40 per person.
Please consider supporting this event and the efforts of the Niagara Land Trust to build and steward community forests, wetlands and agricultural lands for perpetuity in the Niagara Peninsula.
For more info or to join our group of tables, please feel free to rsvp me, Gary King.
