Start Me Up Niagara is introducing new winter extended hours at its Drop-In Resource Centre beginning Thursday, October 8th, 2026. The centre will be open every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service pause for a staff break from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The low-barrier Drop-In Resource Centre on Church St. offers people experiencing homelessness a warm, safe place to access wrap around services, and connect with community partners. Drop-in supports also include mail pick-up, coffee and a welcoming environment that helps address the challenges of social isolation.
“As the colder months approach, it is especially important that our neighbours have a warm and welcoming place where they feel safe, respected and connected,” said Kelly-Ann Salerno, Executive Director of Start Me Up Niagara. “Our extended Thursday hours will give people more time to access essential services, build supportive relationships and connect with people. No one should have to face the challenges of homelessness or social isolation alone.”
