It is that time of year when the flu is becoming a serious health problem and that comes in the context of serious concerns about an insurgence of measles, COVID and a number of other infectious diseases that can seriously harm the health and even kill some of the most vulnerable among us.
Although I assume there are at least some Americans who oppose the Kennedy/Trump anti-vaccine ideology, there are many of millions of America, by virtue of voting Trump in to a second term in office, who support it.
With that firmly in mind, I believe our federal government in Canada should bar all Americans who are not able to show proof that they have been vaccinated for infectious diseases to be barred from entering Canada.
We should treat Americans who cannot show proof of vaccination as frimly as we do as those who attempt to cross our border with illegal drugs and firearms.
Why should those Americans who refuse to be vaccinated for potentially deadly diseases be allowed to cross the border and put the health and security of Canadians at risk?
