If Americans are looking for one more reason to keep Canadians from visiting their country or from ever trading products with them again, they have got it!
This August 27th, 2026, Donald Trump took out time from doing nothing about the economic issues plaguing his own people and signed an ‘Executive Order’, renaming Lake Ontario “Lake America,” or to put it in a more totalitarian or facist way, ‘Lake AMERIKA’.
It had to be done, this nut bar in the Oval Office explained, because Canada has been “ripping us off” and because it hsa been “one of the nastiest country’s in the world” to deal with on trade and other matters.
Those who know about international law are already stepping forward and saying that Trump’s executive order carries no legal weight, but it does do one thing.
It takes what was once a friendly relationship between Canada and the United States- one that has already been going down the toilet, thanks to Trump – and makes it even worse, possibly for decades to come.
It also doesn’t say very much about the tens-of-millions of Americans who voted for Trump to serve a second term after his rape conviction and everything else, and put a mad man like this back in the White House again.
If this is what you wanted, don’t cry about Canadians no longer wanting to visit your country or purchase you products. You made your bed.
And while you’re at it, why don’t you urge your president to rename Lake Michigan Lake MAGA.
