Posted July 17th, 2026 on Niagara At Large

Outdoor City programs will also resume as scheduled at 3 p.m. July 17, including:

  •   *   The Lakeside Park Carousel
  •   *   City outdoor swimming lessons and aquatics programs
  •   *   City outdoor recreation programs
  •   *   Permits for outdoor spaces

Residents are encouraged to monitor weather and air quality reports and use City outdoor pools and sports fields at their own discretion.

The City will continue to monitor the situation and respond as needed.

A Footnote from Niagara At Large – As of the posting, during the noon hour of July 17th,  of this update from the City of St. Catharines, air quality alerts from Environment Canada still remain in place, so to everyone out there, I would say use your own judgement and keep safe.
