Judy Garland as Dorothy with her best Triend Toto in the classic film The Wizard of Oz
With all of the bad and ugly news that is coming our these days, I thought it would nice to have a little escape for a few minutes by sharing with you one of my favourite songs about wishing for better world from one of my all-time favourite movies.
The song is ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’, performed so movingly by the late Judy Garland, whose birthday was today (June 10th, 1922) and the movie was 1939’s ‘The Wizard of Oz’, a much beloved film for generation after generation until this day.
And while you are watching Judy Garland’s Dorothy singing the song, by clicking on the screen below, let’s not forget the amazing little dog Terry, who played Toto, one of the most remembered canines ever, who was featured as her best friend in this film.
I hope you enjoy watching this clip from the film as much as I do and don’t think I am little to far gone for posting it here –
