Let’s Take A Break From The Everyday News With Bruce Springsteen Rocking The Roof Rafters With A Christmas Song

With a brief intro from Doug Draper

I can’t help but think that right about now we could all use a break from the daily news which, let’s face it, has often been quite the downer these days.

So how about a little Santa music from the one and only ‘Boss’ of  Rock & Roll, Bruce Springsteen.

I first heard Springteen perform the song that follows  with his E Street Band before a full house at the old Buffalo Aud on December 4th, 1980 and it hit the spot as part of a long encore for a concert that had  already been rocking on for more than four hours.

That December, 1980 concert remains one of the greatest shows by any group of musicians that I have ever seen, and I’ve been fortunate enough to see quite a few, and the song I am posting  from a Springsteen tour that included  the Buffalo show  is – just in time for Christmas – is ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’.

The video of Springsteen and his band performing the song is sometimes  little dark but is well worth watching.

I would advise pouring yourself some Holiday cheer and cranking the volume up till it shakes the ornaments on your Christmas tree.
