If you are considering running in the next Municipal election, here’s your chance to get valuable information to help you make an informed decision.
Join us for a municipal election workshop this coming Tuesday, May 3rd7 to 8:30 p.m.
In this pre-election workshop you will hear from those who have successfully run for office about what managing a campaign and being an elected representative is like.

Workshop leader: Alejandra Bravo, Director of Leadership and Training at the Broadbent Institute
You will also learn:* Basic information and dates you need to know.* What to expect during the campaign.* What is the job of a local or regional councillor or elected board member.* Why it’s important to ask the question: Why am I running?
This is a virtual session on the Zoom platform. Register to attend and you will be sent a link.
This the first of two sessions. A follow up workshop will cover the nuts and bolts of running a successful campaign.

About the session leader, Alejandra Bravo:Alejandra Bravo is Director of Leadership and Training at the Broadbent Institute. Previously a Manager of Leadership and Learning at Maytree, for a decade she designed and delivered innovative political and civic training for emerging and diverse leaders.
She is a facilitator, trainer, mentor, coach and strategist specializing in cross-organizational collaboration. She has worked as community organizer, political staff and has been a municipal and a federal candidate in Toronto.
