Hello everyone.

Spring is in the air! Please join us for a Virtual Open House and our always popular Trivia Night. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

March 24 Virtual Open House –

Why save Waverly Woods?

This beautiful area, which is currently under threat of development, is a special place for many reasons.  Members of Community Voices of Fort Erie Inc. would like to share some of them with you  in a virtual public information session scheduled for Thursday March 24th, at 7 pm.

A look inside Wavely Woods, a natural haven enjoyed by many Niagara residents and visitors to the region. Let’s keep it that way!

The session will begin with a presentation highlighting the History, Nature and Community Assets that the area provides.  The historical connections include Indigenous Peoples, War of 1812, Black history and the Erie Beach Amusement Park.

Its natural environment includes an abundance of wildlife and one of the last remaining urban forests.  It also has long been an asset to the community for those who enjoy walking, cycling, bird watching and other outdoor activities.

In Niagara, Ontario it is too often the case that when there is a beautiful natural place, there are developers making plans to pave over it.

Most importantly, it is a place that friends and family have shared together over the generations.  Following the presentation, those in attendance will also have an opportunity to submit their questions.

The virtual session, which can be viewed on Zoom, is open to the general public.

Anyone interested in attending can email to reserve a space and receive a Zoom link.
