“The Liberal government talks about working multilaterally and upholding the rules-based international order, but when given the chance they fail to act.”

(A Brief Foreword by Niagara At Large reporter and publisher Doug Draper –

I have been receiving news releasesfrom Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the past four or more years with warm, fuzzy messages about caring about  justice and human right around the world.

So when is Trudeau going to join the new U.S. Biden administration and other European allies around the world in growing a pair on this one, damn it?

Don’t know about you, but I have just about had it with the soupy B.S. from this prime minster.

Russian opposition leader Alexis Navalny has reportedly been poisoned by the Putin regime and is now been sent off to a notorious hard labour camp in that country. When is Canada’s Trudeau going to stop rotating on his you-know-what and join the United States and other Western democracies in slapping sanctions on this terrible regime?

Ottawa, Ontario – The Hon. Michael Chong, Conservative Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, issued the following statement regarding the US and EU sanctions announced on Russian officials for the poisoning and jailing of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny:

“For months, Conservatives have been calling on the Liberal government to work with our allies to impose sanctions on Russian officials responsible for poisoning Alexei Navalny. The Trudeau Liberals have sat on the sidelines while the United States and the European Union have taken action.

“Yesterday (this March 2nd, 2021), the United States announced sanctions on seven Russian officials and more than a dozen businesses for their role in the attempted assassination of opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his imprisonment. The European Union also imposed sanctions on four senior Russian officials over his jailing. This follows sanctions the European Union imposed on Russian officials last October for their role in Alexei Navalny’s poisoning.

“Conservatives reiterate our call for the Liberal government to join our European and American allies and impose sanctions on the Russian officials responsible for these human rights violations and for the violation of an international chemical weapons treaty.

“The Liberal government talks about working multilaterally and upholding the rules-based international order, but when given the chance they fail to act.”
