Ontario Premier Doug Ford
At a news conference this November 25th, Ontario Premier Doug Ford lashed out at a report by the province’s Auditor General, Bonnie Lysyk, accusing his government of being slow on the draw and not as transparent as it should be on responding to the COVID-19 health crisis confronting us.
Ford addressed the Auditor General’s critical report, released earlier this November 25th, after he and his Health Minister, Christine Elliott, discussed some recommendations on how citizens should navigate the coming Christmas holidays during this second wave of the pandemic, and funding his government is providing to support small businesses.

Okay, so what do you think? Ontario citizens make up the judge and jury on this one.

I got a kick out of him saying he fixed all the errors the previous government had done. Like, cutting the cap and trade deal they had with California worth 3 billion dollars a year to the province, later picked up by Quebec. He drove the silicon generation manufacturer out of Ontario. Not sure where they ended up. Driven by Christian fundamentalists, they are just stomping any environmental actions into the dust regardless of cost.
He fired the Power-One board and replaced it with his list of personal friends paying them much more than the original board. He fixes things like Kenny in Alberta.

Premier Ford should lead by example _ why are the people in the background not wearing masks? They hold the masks in their hands. They should be wearing the masks, unless they are at the microphone, Ford claims that his decisions are based on consultations, Does he take the advice based on consensus or on what he wants to hear? I suspect he acts based on what he wants to hear. If the results are not favourable Ford’s response is “It is not my fault…”. Ford claims he put money into medical care; he does not announce that he took out more money prior to the virus than he put back into medical care. Ford is correct to state that previous provincial governments could have better prepared the medical field to address the current pandemic’ There are flaws in his claim that his government acted as quickly as possible to address the pandemic. Ford talks a good game but his actions show otherwise..
