A Call-Out from the Coalition for a Better St. Catharines
St. Catharines, Ontario – We’ve Learned A Lot About Conditions At The Former GM Site And Why It’s So Important To The Community To Clean It Up Now. We’ll Be Sharing That Information With You At A Virtual Information Session On Wednesday, November 25 At 7 P.M..
Dozens Of Highly Toxic Industrial Contaminants Are Present On And Under The Former GM Factory Site On Ontario Street. Recent Evidence Has Indicated That Some Of These Industrial Chemicals Including Pcbs And Asbestos May Be Leaking Off The Site And Possibly Exposing The Community To A Dangerous Health Hazard.
** Find Out Why You Should Be Concerned.
We’ve Spoken With Experts In Industrial Sites Like The GM Lands. We’ve Analyzed Data From The Ministry Of The Environment And We’ve Heard From The Mayor And The City. We Believe There Is Ample Reason For Citizens To Be Concerned And For The City To Act To Remedy The Situation. We Will Explain Why We Are Concerned And Why There May Be Consequences To The Community Of Not Doing Anything.
