‘Horrific, Disgusting, Heartbreaking and Gut-Wrenching’, says Ontario Premier Doug Ford

Sometimes you ask yourself; ‘What is the point? What is the fucking point?’
Why bother reporting anything more on economic injustice, our environment, or on anything else if we don’t treat some of the most vulnerable among us – our senior citizens – like anything less than human garbage.
We just went through the rituals of observing – at least some of us did – the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War when what we collectively pretend to remember as “the greatest generation” fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we have today.
Yet this is the way that we collectively in Ontario treat them – like human garbage, crying for help, dying in dirty diapers with cockroaches crawling around. And why?
So that we, collectively, could get another fucking TAX CUT?
Why? So that we could use the money from the tax cut to buy more plastic crap from WalMart?
This isn’t about the current Premier Doug Ford. If anything, he is the first premier in more than two decades to express some outrage over this.
This goes back at least as far as the so-called “Common Sense Revolution” in Ontario when one of the consummate creeps we have ever had in provincial politics, Mike Harris (now sitting on the board of a private nursing home chain), and his cabal, including then Niagara MPPs Bart Maves and Tim Huddak were in power and doing whatever they could to defund, deregulate and privatize public services, including long-term care homes.
Two Liberal premiers who followed Harries – Dalton McGuinty and Kathleen Wynne – let the rotting of these homes go on despite report after report that our long-term care centres across the province were going to rot – that the seniors in side of them were suffering, and that those working in them were not getting the resources they needed to help.
So that we collectively could get another fucking TAX CUT?
Hope we enjoyed our tax cut.
SHAME ON US.
Now this journalist may have to take a few days off to decide whether it is worth going on with this.
Please watch this video, by clicking on the screen below, of the current Premier, Doug Ford, addressing this horror. You know what, as much as I have slammed Ford in the past, I am with him on his outrage around this one –
