Our solution to the incredible sense of loss we have experienced as a Region, is to re-connect our community.
We need each other and we believe the answer is in community.
We will gather January 1st at 6:00 p.m. in Montebello Park to turn on the light we each have brought at 6:15pm. Bring your phone, a flashlight, a candle, lantern, etc.
Please come out and join your neighbours to meet, have conversation and stand in light together and be a community safety net.
Please invite your friends, colleagues, organizations, congregations and neighbours to Shine the Light in Niagara!
Together our hope is to spark a change for the New Year.
Please understand that this is not a rally, a vigil or a protest. Our hope is for our community to come together and be together.
If you are a member of an identifiable faith tradition, community group or emergency services of any type, we invite you to wear your uniform or any identifiable insignia.
