On behalf of the entire Broadbent Institute team, I would like to wish you and yours a very happy Labour Day!

On this day, we must consider the important contributions unions have made to our society; a shorter work-week, Employment Insurance, maternity leave, collective bargaining, and the right to safety at work, just to name a few.

Unions play a vital role in building healthy communities through good paying jobs, promoting fairness in the workplace, and fighting for economic equality and justice for everyone.

Today, let’s celebrate the achievements that the Labour Movement has made for all of us, and let’s get ready for the work that must continue.
