Doug Ford and other Ontario PC Party reps have no problem finding constituencies of people in rural communities who oppose wind energy farms.
From the Ontario PC Party – This (past May 12th(, , Kathleen Wynne (was) in Hastings, where her candidate in the riding next door once said her legacy will be the “destruction” of rural Ontario, and “the waste of literally billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money.”
Robert Quaiff, the Liberal candidate in Bay of Quinte, also serves as the Mayor of Prince Edward County.
In August, 2015, Quaiff wrote a letter to Premier Kathleen Wynne, and then Environment Minister, opposing the Green Energy Act and the wpd White Pines Wind Incorporated industrial turbine project.

Statement from Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford on the Carbon Tax
Today (this past April 25th, 2018), Premier Scott Moe announced the Saskatchewan Government is asking a court to rule on the constitutionality of the federal carbon tax.
In response, Ontario PC Leader Doug Ford issued the following statement:
“The Ontario PC Party supports Saskatchewan’s court challenge. I have always been very clear; the people of Ontario can’t afford a carbon tax in whatever name or form. Not now. Not ever.
“Kathleen Wynne’s cap-and-trade carbon tax is nothing but a slush fund that takes money out of the pockets of hard-working people and kills jobs here in Ontario. This expensive scheme ships hundreds of millions of dollars to California, and raises the price of everything from gasoline to groceries.
“The Ontario PCs will scrap Kathleen Wynne’s cap-and-trade carbon tax, and fight any effort by Justin Trudeau and the Federal Government to impose a carbon tax on the people of Ontario.”
