Slain citizen activist Heather Heyer. “If you are not outraged, you are not paying attention,” was one of her favourite slogans

“This is not the end of Heather’s legacy,” said Susan Bro at a memorial service earlier this August 16th for her 32-year-old daughter Heather Heyer, who was killed in Charlottesville, Virginia this past August 12th as she joined people protesting demonstrations of white supremacists and neo-Nazis in the community.

“You have to find in your heart that spark of accountability.” Susan Bro went on to tell those who attended the memorial service or watched on television. “I don’t want you to turn away. I don’t care. You poke that finger at yourself and you make it happen. You take that extra step. You find a way to make a difference in the world.”

  1. It was wonderful to see Trump at Heather Heyer’s service today to inspire the mourners. Oh, he wasn’t there? Never mind.

    He was too busy defending the half of the equation that showed up with brass knuckles, baseball bats, shields and HATE, but hey, they had a permit.

    Obama = CLASS.
    Trump = ASS.

  2. It is necessary to separate my previous remark from this one because the current President does not deserve to share the same paragraph as Susan Bro or Heather Heyer. . If Heather was even half as eloquent, remarkable and brave as her mother, she was an amazing young lady.
