“I’m sentimental, if you know what I mean, I love the country but I can’t stand the scene,  And I’m neither left or right, I’m just staying home tonight, Getting lost in that hopeless little screen, But I’m stubborn as those garbage bags, As time cannot decay I’m junk but I’m still holding up this little wild bouquet Democracy is coming to the USA To the USA”

“It’s coming to America first, The cradle of the best and of the worst, It’s here they got the range, And the machinery for change, And it’s here they got the spiritual thirst, It’s here the family’s broken,  And it’s here the lonely say, That the heart has got to open In a fundamental way,  Democracy is coming to the USA”

  1. It is not lost on me that Trump protestors (Democrat AND Republican) are out in loud and sizable droves now that it is too late. Where were they BEFORE the election and why did they not cast a vote for Bernie Sanders when they had a chance? I know of no one outside of the U.S.A. who thought Trump a viable candidate yet close to half of the American population swooned over, and made excuses for, this sad excuse of a human being. It is inconceivable to me that Americans thought for even one fleeting moment that Trump was a better choice than Sanders. The U.S.A. is the laughing stock of the world and the poster country for the need for higher education. To have even a remote capacity to elect a Donald Trump (the word “a” deliberately placed as it speaks to a malignancy in the American way of thinking more than of the man specifically) suggests weaknesses and vulnerabilities that make opportunistic countries salivate. Be frightened. Be very frightened.
