“All of us should refuse to witness Donald Trump’s oath of office and instead observe a minute of silence out of concern for the future of American democracy.” ‘- former U.S. Labour Secretary Robert Reich

A Brief Foreword Note from NAL publisher Doug Draper –
This was Robert Reich’s Facebook response to the recent news that Bill and Hillary Clinton, who were called liars, crooks and almost everything else short of child molesters by Donald Trump during last year’s U.S. presidential campaign, are planning to attend the inauguration and swearing in ceremonies for Donald Trump this comping January, 2017.
In a few words, I think it expresses some of the views of many of the Americans I know – more than a few of who are feeling sick to their stomachs right now – and many others around the world to Trump’s coming presidency.
From Robert Reich –
“By attending Trump’s inauguration, they (the Clintons) are’ normalizing it – as if Trump were just another president and this were just another inauguration. He’s not. It’s not.
I think all of us have a public responsibility to sound the alarm about what is about to occur. This includes former presidents and former presidential candidates.
