Clintons Should Not ‘Normalize’ Trump’s Presidency by Attending Inauguration

“All of us should refuse to witness Donald Trump’s oath of office  and instead observe a minute of silence out of concern for the future of American democracy.”  ‘- former U.S. Labour Secretary Robert Reich

Donald Trump and the Clintons have wined and dined before. “throw her in jail’ or not, they swim in the same elite circles.

This was Robert Reich’s Facebook response to the recent news that Bill and Hillary Clinton, who were called liars, crooks and almost everything else short of child molesters  by Donald Trump during last year’s U.S. presidential campaign, are planning to attend the inauguration and swearing in ceremonies for Donald Trump this comping January, 2017.

In a few words, I think it expresses some of the views of many of the Americans I know – more than a few of who are feeling sick to their stomachs right now – and many others around the world to Trump’s coming presidency.

From Robert Reich –

“By attending Trump’s inauguration, they (the Clintons) are’ normalizing it – as if Trump were just another president and this were just another inauguration. He’s not. It’s not.

The Clinton's daughter Chelsea and Trump's daughter Ivanka have reportedly always been good friends, bonded together by a lust for wealth and power.

I think all of us have a public responsibility to sound the alarm about what is about to occur. This includes former presidents and former presidential candidates.

At the very least, on January 20, at 12 noon eastern time,

What do you think?”

  1. In my opinion, Bill Clinton was always a closet Republican and his repealing of the Glass/Steagall Legislation (in 1999) that caused the great RECESSION of 2008 is ample evidence to his allegiance. Further evidence is Bill and Hillary’s attendance at the swearing in of Trump. Need more be SAID?

  2. I will not turn on the TV on Friday….unless the s*** hits the fan. Otherwise I’ll do something productive.

As Steven Colbert said, Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus is closing after over 150 years because it can’t compete with Trump’s Washington.
