We Are Recruiting New Members For Our Three Choirs! Join Us This September
About Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir (CNCC) in Niagara, Ontario
CNCC is a growing part of the Chorus Niagara family. A dynamic choir for children aged 5 to 15 years of age; members are introduced to the basics of choral singing as they prepare for upcoming concerts.
The choir is comprised of three smaller choirs – the Training Choir (5-7), Intermediate Choir (8-10) and the Concert Choir for children 11 and up.
CNCC have performed in their own concerts, as guests of Chorus Niagara, Niagara Symphony Orchestra, Choralis Camerata and as part of the local In The Soil Arts Festival in downtown St Catharines.
In 2017 CNCC will perform with Chorus Niagara in THE FARTHEST SHORE, March 4th at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
Our Team
Amanda Nelli, Artistic Director is an experienced Children’s Choir Conductor and Elementary Music Specialist.
Amanda holds a Master of Arts in music education from the University of Toronto and prior degrees in music and education from the University of Ottawa and Queen’s University. She studied choral conducting at the Westminister Conducting Institute in Princeton, and was nominated for the prestigious Leslie Bell Award in 2014.
Her choirs have won awards at both the provincial and national level. Most recently, her Fern Hill School Choir placed first at the National Music Festival and performed at Carnegie Hall.
Lynne Honsberger, Accompanist is an accomplished pianist and organist. She has been the accompanist for Chorus Niagara for more than 25 years and has accompanied choral ensembles in Toronto, Guelph, Hamilton, Kitchener and Western New York, and appeared as soloist with orchestras in Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga and Niagara.
Trish Crawford, Administrative Director, is a graduate of Brock University (B.A.) and St. Francis Xavier University (Dip.Ad.Ed). She holds a certificate in non-profit sector management from The Canadian Centre for Philanthropy. Trish is also the Social Media Manager for Chorus Niagara and Momentum Choir and has been a performing member of Chorus Niagara for the past 9 seasons.
