Experience Christmas 1812-Style at McFarland House Along The Scenic Niagara Parkway In Niagara, Ontario

Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, December 2015 – The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) invites everyone to take a step back in time and experience the holiday traditions of years past, with a visit to one of Niagara’s oldest and most significant heritage sites, the McFarland House.

A McFarland Christmas – Open House and Annual Rotary Holiday House Tour

When – December 4th to 6th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and December 12th  to 13th from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where – 15927 Niagara Parkway, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

In partnership with the Garden Club of Niagara and the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the public is invited to experience a Victorian Christmas at the historic McFarland House.

The Christmas decorations used throughout the homestead have been designed and are courtesy of the Garden Club of Niagara. All decorations used have been created from natural materials, from local gardens, in order to preserve and recreate the historical authenticity of Christmas from seasons past.

On Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, McFarland House will take part in Rotary Holiday House Tour.

Tickets for the Rotary Tour are $25 and include admission to over a dozen wonderful properties. For more information on the Rotary Holiday Tour, please visit niagaraonthelakerotary.ca/events/holiday-house-tour, or call 905-351-3807. Tickets may also be purchased at McFarland House.

Individual admission to the McFarland House Open House over the two upcoming weekends is $6 for adults and $3.90 for children six to 12 years of age.
