Frank Campion Nominated As Ontario PC Candidate for Niagara’s Welland Riding

Election News from the Office of Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak

(A Brief  Foreword by NAL publisher Doug Draper – The Ontario NDP, through the late Mel Swart and Peter Kormos have had a strong hold on this riding in Welland, Ontario for mre than 30 years, and MPP/NDP representative has so far  carried it on. Now it is left to see if Cindy Forster can carry it on against a profile, veteran Welland councillor Frank Campion.)

May 4rth – Tim Hudak congratulated Frank Campion on his nomination as the Ontario PC candidate for Welland and applauded his commitment to making Ontario job-friendly.

“As a successful businessman and community leader, Frank understands the priorities for a brighter future and the urgent need to create the private sector jobs that will lead Ontario back to prosperity,” said Hudak.  ““While the McGuinty-Wynne Liberals continue to deepen Ontario’s economic crisis, only the Ontario PC Party has a plan to create new jobs and rein in government spending.”

“I have been in business for more than 35 years and have been a part-time instructor at Niagara College in the business division.  I have a lesson for the McGuinty-Wynne Liberals: reduced government spending and lower debt boosts investor confidence and attracts new businesses and jobs to Ontario while enabling tax dollars to be spent on services instead of debt interest,” said Campion.  “But worse still, the NDP actually want to increase taxes on businesses.  The Liberals and the NDP continue to fail Ontario.”

Campion noted Tim Hudak’s Million Jobs Plan will:

  • Produce more jobs and increase take-home pay through lower taxes and less debt
  • Ensure affordable energy that will create jobs, not eliminate them.
  • Train more skilled workers to meet the demand in trades, and help young people find good jobs.
  • Increase trade with our neighbours.
  • End the bureaucratic runaround that inhibits job creation.

Frank Campion is the President and Owner of Campion Marketing Services, a municipal councillor and a past part-time instructor at Niagara College.

  1. Are the Conservatives any better than the Liberals in botching the Ontario economy? Conservatives amalgamated communities with the idea that there would be savings _ have we enjoyed a reduction in taxes? Conservatives chose to break up Ontario Hydro to reduce electrical rates _ has this decision brought us any savings? It brought us more CEO’s to increase rates. Imagine how much money there would be in the Ontario treasury had the Conservatives chose to keep Highway 407 _ perhaps the money could have been used to take care of public transit improvements. Was it the Conservatives or the Liberals who chose to close hospitals?
We know the Liberals have a recent history of scandals, Are the Conservatives any cleaner?

  2. This is Frank’s decision and I hope he does not ever have to regret it. He took on the leadership of basically “Save our Welland Hospital” and of the council group that wanted to curb the flood of money out of the coffers of the City of Welland. This I admired him for and will continue to like the man.
Hudak, on the other hand, scares hell out of many people including me, maybe especially me, as I have worked both sides of the street when it comes to an organized Union and I also worked for a very successful Steel Mill for thirty years,a firm that did not have a union.
Yes there are certain Union LEADERS in Canada that are very similar to Corporate CEOs in so much as they care not about the common folk just themselves. These are the people Hudak Champions and works for not the common folk.
Hudak basically said he wants to eliminate Unions, Lower Corporate taxes already the (lowest of the G7) and what about privatization does he want our hospitals taken over by Corporate America? He was “NEVER” present at any meeting, rally or get together supporting the Yellow Shirts and others People such as MPPCraitor and the NDP’s Howrath during the long and trying attempts to save the hospitals in the Southern Tier of Niagara. It is just recently that he got on board for the building of that “New” Niagara Falls Hospital……. too little too late…
I admit I was not the biggest supporter of Cindy …..BUT…..NIOW…… She has caused me to changed my mind as she has gone overboard to care for and look after the interests of the peoples of this riding.

If you win this next election Frank and I say “IF” I hope you would be just as diligent and caring as Cindy is……..and NOT a puppet of Hudak……………Amen
