A Brief by Doug Draper
It is one of the last great festive events of the summer season in our Greater Niagara Region.
The annual Elmwood Avenue Festival of the Arts in Buffalo, New York, scheduled this Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., is a wonderful way of celebrating some of the last few days of summer and is a model for neighbourhoods anywhere in our cross-border region for drawing people to the best of friendship and fun that a community can offer.
Please check out the information below, circulated to Niagara At Large and other media from the organizers of this festival.
Welcome To The Elmwood Avenue Festival Of Arts
Shop – With more than 170 artists and craftspeople selling work done in 16 different mediums, you’re sure to find something you love.
See over fifty performances on three stages.
Dance at our family friendly dance tent.
Bring the family to Kidsfest, where children can do hands-on arts projects, see kids-oriented performances, and march in Sunday’s Kidsfest parade.
Environmentalism is a huge part of our mission and Environmental Row is a big part of that, featuring booths demonstrating things we can do to help sustain the planet.
Cultural Row features over 30 local and regional organizations working to make our communities stronger.
Eat – When you are ready for a snack, our festival café will have vendors waiting to serve you.
It promises to be a great time. We can’t wait to see you there!
