Buffalo residents protest against ICE and Trump in neibhouring City of Buffalo, N.Y.
In the wake of the fatal shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota this past January 7th of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by masked thugs Trump has deployed to strike fear in Americans and any one who now dares to enter the United States for any reason, residents in neighbouring Buffalo, N.Y. joined countless thousands of their fellow citizens across the country in calling for an end to this ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency’) reign of terror and an end to Trump’s presidency.
Three cheers to Buffalo residents for showing the courage to protest against an agency that has shown it will arrest and possibly even shoot to kill anyone – however law abiding and whether they are a citizen of the country or not – who gets in its way now.
It should also serve as another reminder to all of us in Canada that we have friends and neighbours across the border – and not just a few – who are just as opposed to what Trump is doing to sow fear and hate as we are,.

At a rally across the border last year, Buffalo residents show their support for Canada
Last winter, when Trump began threatening Canada with damaging tariffs and talk of making our country a “51st state,” some may recall that Buffalo residents lined up along the American side of the border near the Peace Bridge, waving Canadian flags in a demonstration of their support for us.
In return, we Canadians should do everything we can to show our American neighbours the friendship and support they need until this plague of Trump and his cult is behind us and we can all go back to the times when we looked forward to crossing the border and enjoyed spending time with our friends in some of our favourite places again.
