Now They Are Going To Take A Mug Shot Of Us Every Time We Cross The Border. What’s Next? A One Way Trip To A Prison Camp?

As of this past Boxing Day, 2025, cross the Peace Bridge or any other border crossing to the U.S. and have your mug shot taken. Better still boycott the U.S. and stay here, in support of Canada.
The year 2027 will mark the 100th anniversary of the building of the bridge crossing between Niagara, Ontario in Canada and Buffalo, New York in the United States – named the Peace Bridge in honour of many years of a friendship between two countries that was, until recently, about the warmest you could find anywhere in the world.
I say ‘until recently’ because thanks to Donald Trump and the tens-of-millions of followers in his ‘American First’ MAGA cult who kneel to him and believe every lying thing he has to say, we Canadians are an alien threat- a potential enemy out to do Americans harm.
This aversion against Canada goes back at least six or seven years, during Trump’s first term as U.S. president, when he put Canada on a national security threat list for reasons that no one outside his twilight zone could understand.
Then, following his second coming as president in January of 2025, he began with is threats of making Canada a “51st state” while slapping punishing tariffs of goods imported from our country.
Now, as of Boxing Day this past Christmas – he has ordered his security forces at the border to take mug shots of all Canadians, including babies, the elderly and everyone in between, entering the U.S., or have then turned around if they refuse.
First they take mug shots of us. What’s next? Canadians being randomly arrested by Trump’s masked thugs?
It’s a move designed to insult or humiliate us, at the very least, or to stoke fear in us by treating us all like possible criminals who could be pulled out of our cars and hauled away by those masked thugs like so many American citizens now are, whether they have done anything wrong or not.
I, for one, will be answering this latest act of hostility against Canadians by continuing my boycott against travelling to the United States and, to the extent I can, buying anything made in the U.S.A.
It is encouraging to read and hear reports in the media, many of them based on information circulated by Statistics Canada, that growing numbers of my fellow citizens, including snowbirds, are now staying away from the United States.
And with this latest move to make every Canadian entering the U.S, for however long and for whatever reason, have a mug shot taken, we are almost certainly going to see the number of us crossing the border continuing to drop like a rock.
Finally, since Trump seems to like to rename things after himself, how about renaming the Peace Bridge “Trump’s War Bridge,” just in time for that border crossing’s 100th anniversary. Seems like a far more suitable name for that bridge now.
