At Niagara Parks – Winter Festival of Lights is Back with More Magic Than Ever

    – The 43rd Winter Festival of Lights will illuminate Niagara Falls beginning on November 15, 2025

    – The free, family-friendly event features 75+ light displays, 21 nights of fireworks and more than three million twinkling lights

    – Interactive displays and new experiences spark curiosity, connection and play

Niagara Falls, Ontario  – The Winter Festival of Lights, presented by Niagara Falls Tourism in partnership with the Niagara Falls Canada Hotel Association and Niagara Parks, is back for a 43rd year as Canada’s largest outdoor light festival.

Beginning November 15, the free event will light up the destination, including an eight-kilometre stretch of the Niagara Parkway, with millions of twinkling lights, high-energy laser light shows, fireworks and more.

Running through until January 4, 2026, the festival promises more magic than ever before. Along with the new interactive light displays and returning festival favourites, visitors can enjoy the beloved Poinsettia Show at the Floral Showhouse, warm up along the Hot Chocolate Trail and take home a special delivery of cheer from the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan. *** Laser Light Spectacular in Queen Victoria Park

Every Friday and Saturday night, from November 15 to December 20, the Queen Victoria Park event field will ignite with the Laser Light Spectacular, presented by Laser Quantum. These dynamic outdoor shows feature high-powered lasers and smoke effects synchronized to an energetic soundtrack. After December 25, the shows will run nightly, with multiple each night (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), culminating in a show-stopping finale on New Year’s Eve.

*** Immersive Displays Foster Connection and Play

New and returning displays will transform Niagara Falls into a whimsical wonderland. Guests can stroll the eight-kilometre route and discover 25 new illuminations, including giant snowflakes, playful wildlife and true Canadiana classics like a toque and a maple leaf. Highlights include:

  • –  * The Poetry Hut *  at Queen Victoria Place – a blend of AI, digital imagery and self-expression that asks one question “What does your dream world look like?”
  • – Interactive swings, musical see-saws and vibrant 2D letters at the Queen Victoria Park event field
  • –   Laser Projection Mapping *  on the Niagara Parks Power Station – a larger-than-life laser display highlighting the century-old architecture

Four new interactive exhibits are ready to wow visitors of every age; some previously featured at world-renowned events like Burning Man and Montreal’s Igloofest:

  •   * Light Anemones *  by Malte Kebbel – kinetic sculptures illuminating the waters of Dufferin Islands
  • –  * Radiant *  by Rob Jensen and the Radiant Crew – a mesmerizing tunnel of art and light leading towards the Niagara Parks Power Station
  • –  * Roseaux * , powered by Creos – rhythmic displays triggered by visitor interaction
  • –  * Cosmic Wolf *  by Ryan Longo – a striking steel sculpture howling shades of blue into the night sky outside of Queen Victoria Place

*** Annual Poinsettia Show

Yuletide joy is in full bloom at the Floral Showhouse with the Annual Poinsettia Show. The festive favourite begins on November 15 and showcases vibrant poinsettias, alongside an assortment of cyclamens, amaryllis and paperwhites, inviting guests to warm up and wrap themselves in the holiday spirit.

Throughout December, extended hours (12 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and special lighting activations will enhance the experience indoors and outdoors.

*** Fireworks and Falls Illuminations

On Friday and Saturday nights, visitors can look to the skies at 8:00 p.m. for a spectacular firework show. Guests can also witness a special illumination of Niagara Falls, produced by the Niagara Falls Illumination Board.

The limited display features colours and movements inspired by a northern winter — gentle snowfalls, the aurora borealis and more. Between December 26 and January 4, fireworks are set to blaze through the sky nightly.
