A Brief Birthday Tribute by Doug Draper at Niagara At Large
Posted November 13th, 2025 on Niagara At Large
Going back to his earliest days in the 1960s as a member of the bands Buffalo Springfield, then Crosby, Stills, Nation & Young in the late 60s and early 70s, and through all of his decades as a solo artist, Neil Young has never stopped raising his voice on every issue from war and peace to the use harmful chemicals in farming.
Even all these years later – and even as he turned 80-years-old this November 12th, 2025 – he has not stopped. His voice remains as strong and as fearless as ever.
In that spirit, here is a song he recently composed and performed this past September at the Farm Aid Festival telecast to the world this past September. It is about the corruption in the Trump White House and it is called Big Crimes.
You can hear and watch his performance of it at the Farm Aid Festival by clicking on the screen immediately below –
Happy Birthday Neil and may there be many more.
